Thank you for your interest in applying for an exploratory seminar with Academic Ventures at the Radcliffe Institute for the 2015-2016 academic year. All Harvard ladder faculty (tenure track and tenured; Harvard Medical School faculty, regardless of the financial guarantee surrounding their salaries) from any school, and current and former Radcliffe Institute fellows, are eligible to apply. Applications are due Monday, October 27, 2014.
To begin, please create an account to the right, using your email. You will be able to revisit your account as many times as necessary before the application deadline. You can apply in sections, saving each part and coming back to it when you have time. The application consists of five sections.
Register: This section requests information about you and your co-applicant, if applicable. We will not ask you for any personal information, but will ask about title and contact details.
Proposal: This section is for information about your seminar topic, title, key questions, and desired outcomes for your seminar. It may be simplest to cut and paste text for the executive summary (maximum 250 words) and proposal narrative (maximum 2500 words) into the text boxes from a word document.
Schedule: Please describe how you envision the one-to three- day program taking place at the Radcliffe Institute. This information should be cut and pasted into a text box from a word document.
Invitees/Budget: Here you will provide information about your list of proposed attendees, including name, email address and travel location, which is the first step to designing the budget. You do not need to secure pre-approval from invitees that they will attend, or to have contacted them prior to submitting your application. Start the process by downloading the excel document in this section labeled "Invitees/Budget" and save it on your desktop. Then, fill out the gray cells in the form and save it. Remember to include in the invitee section anyone that will be attending, including yourself. Finally, upload the form in excel format to the application to complete this section. Please note that the budget section of the form has pre-populated forumals to calculate the expenses for your proposed program based on the invitees you list and the number of days of the program.
